The Writing, Speaking, and Argument Program, in collaboration with iZone, is excited to announce the Kohn Lectures, a new speaker series by UR Speaking Fellows on public speaking and communication.  Named after undergraduate speaking fellow and first fellow president Miriam Kohn (UR 2017 graduate and current law student), the series will offer varied perspectives based on scholarship and personal and professional experiences.  Speaking Fellows are undergraduate tutors trained to help their peers with all manner of public speaking, including presentations, interviews, and even casual and professional conversations.

Each speaker will bring their own individual backgrounds, knowledge, and interests to their presentation. This series has something for students from all disciplines, especially those looking to better connect the work they're passionate about with the words they use to communicate it.

Karla Zendejas and Christin Napierkowski will present "Interviewing 101" and Ariel Hirschhorn will present "Wait, hold on: Interruption in communication."  All are welcome to attend!
