Lecture: Effective Science and Risk Communication for Environment and Health

Electrical engineering alumnus David Butler '78 ’80 (MS), director of the Office of Military and Veterans Health for the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, has led studies on microbial communities in built environments; effects of indoor air quality on health; risk ranking for regulatory prioritization; testing methodologies for heavy metals in pharmaceuticals; and the impacts of climate change on the indoor environment.
