Join watercolorist Luke Dangler in a livestreamed session on Thursday, September 17 at 2PM. You’ll be able to watch him in action using unique painting techniques and can ask questions about his artistic journey during this interactive session.

Luke graduated from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY as a studio art major with a minor in music. Since graduating in 2009 he has pursued a diverse career in the arts, having worked as a freelance illustrator, graphic designer, web developer, touring musician, and painter. Today he focuses his efforts on fine art and cultivating his body of work. Since college, his painting style has evolved from strict realism using acrylic and oil paint to pseudo-surrealism in watercolor. With watercolor, a representational approach to painting is hijacked by the messy nature of the medium.

"For me, the chaos of watercolor serves as a welcome encouragement to strive for novelty in each painting. It helps prevent me from becoming seduced by details that can sometimes distract from the broader concept of each piece.”
