Ever imagine what it would be like to see a flock of flamingos on the Eastman Quad? What about a “Floor-is-Lava” obstacle course that ran from Rush Rhees Library to the Interfaith Chapel? Or perhaps a new statue or monument for a new era?
Join Studio X, Rochester’s hub for immersive technologies, and learn more about the digital world of extended reality (XR). In this 1.5 hour-long hands-on workshop, you will learn the basics of Unity, a real-time creation platform used to build virtual worlds, games, animations, and much more. You will learn about its user interface, how to manipulate objects in 3D space, and other fundamental concepts. This is a beginner-focused workshop, but all levels are welcome.
