About this Event
Hutchison Hall, Rochester, NY
We will be welcoming Prof. Osvaldo Gutierrez (TAMU) to the Department of Chemistry for a colloquium. In addition to blending experimental and computational work at the forefront of catalysis with 3d metals,
Prof. Gutierrez has been an inspiring and welcoming voice and advocate for DEI efforts in science. Immediately following his seminar, Prof. Gutierrez will hold an informal “Meet the Speaker” event for chemistry community members (especially students) to learn more about the personal side of his science journey. He’s enthusiastic to discuss some aspects of the Alliance for Diversity in Science and Engineering (ADSE), LatinXChem, and upcoming Young Researchers Conference and ADSE-LatinXChem hybrid conference among other opportunities. Please stick around after the seminar for what is sure to be a lively discussion and a great opportunity to build and strengthen your professional network.
