“Michelangelo: Believe it or Not”
World-renowned Michelangelo scholar Professor William E. Wallace of Washington University in St. Louis will present an illustrated overview of works recently “discovered” or newly attributed to the artist known as “Il Divino.” Wallace is serving as this year’s keynote speaker at the University of Rochester’s annual Ferrari Humanities Symposia. Following the presentation, all are invited to participate in what promises to be a lively, fun and informative discussion.

William E. Wallace received his Ph.D. in Art History from Columbia University in New York in 1983 and is currently Professor in the Department of Art History and Archaeology. He teaches Renaissance art and architecture 1300-1700 and is an internationally recognized authority on Michelangelo and his contemporaries.
