This workshop will teach trainees how to critically, rigorously, and ethically review manuscripts submitted for publication.

Learning how to evaluate a manuscript is an essential professional development skill, yet many trainees receive limited formal training in peer review during their graduate or postdoctoral studies. When opportunities do arise, trainees are often asked to co-review manuscripts alongside a mentor without clear guidance. This workshop addresses these gaps by introducing best practices for approaching the peer-review process and providing practical guidance on how to write a clear, constructive, and effective manuscript review.
