The Sustainability Office is hosting the seventh annual Mystery Date with a Book as part of the Green Reps program. Hot beverages will be served in a warm, cozy setting while swapping gently used books. For the event, please bring:

1. One wrapped book

  • Find one you’re willing to part with and would recommend to someone.
  • Wrap it with construction paper, newspaper, scrap paper, or anything recycled.
  • Write a brief description or offer tantalizing clues (such as the genre, details that don’t give away the plot such as “You might like this book if you enjoyed x or y,” etc.).
  • Leave a business card or note with your email address in the book so you and the new owner can meet up and discuss (totally optional, of course).

2. A mug—BYOM to help minimize waste.

3. A friend—This event is open to anyone with interest in books or the Green Reps program.

Please register to attend by Friday, February 7, by emailing greenreps@rochester.edu. We look forward to sipping warm beverages and swapping books with you!
