The Center for Integrated Research Computing (CIRC) will host its next symposium on Friday, October 17th 11:30 am - 1 pm in Wegmans Hall 1400.

This month's featured speaker is Sobhit Singh from the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Sobhit will highlight how his research group uses computation, theory, and experiment to design quantum materials for next-generation technologies. 

The ongoing research talk will be given by Jin Zeng from the Department of Chemical Engineering. Jin will demonstrate how data mining can be used to help study heterogenous catalyst systems.

The CIRC Symposium occurs monthly and is a venue to witness firsthand how advanced computing infrastructure is being used by a variety research projects across the University of Rochester. Faculty and students from all areas are encouraged to attend to gain insights into computational techniques and methods of data analysis utilized by the University's research community.
