The University of Rochester’s Philosophy and Physics & Astronomy departments are co-hosting a symposium on Adam Frank, Marcelo Gleiser, and Evan Thompson’s recent book The Blind Spot: Why Science Cannot Ignore Human Experience. Commentators include Robert P. Crease (keynote, Stony Brook), Lukáš Likavčan (Slovak Academy of Sciences), as well as researchers from the University of Rochester’s Philosophy and Physics & Astronomy departments. The event is the first in a planned annual series of joint philosophy–physics workshops. Robert P. Crease will give the keynote lecture of the event on Thursday, April 30, from 15:30 to 17:00, and the workshop will take place on Friday, April 30 from 9:30 to 16:15. Both events will take place in the Gamble Room of Rush Rhees Library.
