Join us for the 63rd season of the Plutzik Reading Series, where we will be joined by author Sigrid Nunez. She will read from her recent works, answer questions and sign copies of her books, which will be available for purchase. 

Nunez has published nine novels, including A Feather on the Breath of God, The Last of Her Kind, The Friend, What Are You Going Through, and, most recently, The Vulnerables. A collection of her short fiction, It Will Come Back to You, will be published in 2026. The Friend, a New York Times bestseller, won the 2018 National Book Award, was a finalist for the 2020 International Dublin Literary Award and has been adapted for film by directors David Siegel and Scott McGehee (2024). What Are You Going Through has also been adapted for a film under the title "The Room Next Door" (2024), directed by Pedro Almodóvar. Nunez’s other honors include a Whiting Award, a Berlin Prize Fellowship, the Rome Prize in Literature, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and a Windham-Campbell Literature Prize.

The Plutzik Reading Series is one of the longest running in the country. It is always offered free of charge and is open to the public.
