Powder Fete is one of SOCA's signature events designed to celebrate the vibrant culture of the Caribbean through music and dance. The event was designed to help commemorate Trinidad and Tobago's independence (August 31, 1962) by recreating a popular Trinidad festival, the Trinidad and Tobago carnival. Powder Fete aims to create the same feeling of cultural expression as the carnival and is a perfect opportunity to bring awareness to the Caribbean in a fun way.
