Megan Lytle, PhD, Clinical Director of Transgender Patients Experience and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at  URMC, and Betty Webb, CHES, Public Health Project Specialist II at URMC, will present, "Patient-Centered Care for Trans and Gender Diverse Individuals."

This presentation will provide information on how to care for transgender and gender diverse (TGD) patients in a clinical setting. Additionally, a brief introduction to the Gender Patient Support (GPS): Health and Wellness program at URMC will be given. After this presentation participants should be able to:

  • Describe the benefits of providing patient-centered care for TGD individuals.

  • Develop knowledge and skills about how to gather information on sexual orientation and gender identity for inclusivity in research.

  • Recognize areas of growth to provide more consistent patient-centered care for TGD individuals.
