Megan Lytle, PhD, Clinical Director of Transgender Patients Experience and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at URMC, and Betty Webb, CHES, Public Health Project Specialist II at URMC, will present, "Patient-Centered Care for Trans and Gender Diverse Individuals."
This presentation will provide information on how to care for transgender and gender diverse (TGD) patients in a clinical setting. Additionally, a brief introduction to the Gender Patient Support (GPS): Health and Wellness program at URMC will be given. After this presentation participants should be able to:
Describe the benefits of providing patient-centered care for TGD individuals.
Develop knowledge and skills about how to gather information on sexual orientation and gender identity for inclusivity in research.
Recognize areas of growth to provide more consistent patient-centered care for TGD individuals.
