Public Health Grand Rounds

Pamela Bailie, M.P.H., manager of the Community-Based Programs at the Center for Community Health & Prevention, will join Parul D. Rahbari, M.P.H., program development consultant at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), for their lecture "The Urgency of Type 2 Diabetes Prevention and Rochester's Initiatives to Address It Locally". 

This talk will discuss the role health care professionals and community organizations can play in scaling and sustaining the National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP). One method, the train-the-trainer approach, is being used in Rochester to disseminate the National DPP more broadly and to address specific population needs.
