Strategies for effective partnership and communication in healthcare

Andrea Garroway, PhD, assistant professor of Psychiatry and Medicine at URMC, and Tziporah E. Rosenberg, PhD, associate professor of Psychiatry and Family Medicine at URMC, will review communication strategies for both clinicians and patients, particularly around difficult or sensitive topics such as mental health. They will address issues related to access, opportunity, and responsibility as it relates to identification and response to mental health needs. They will also discuss how primary care can respond to mental health needs, including models of integrated care.
