Open to all, the symposium features a keynote address on “Trust and Respect as High-Reliability Outcomes During Times of Turmoil,” by Thomas H. Lee, MD, chief medical officer at Press Ganey. Lee has more than three decades of experience in health care performance improvement as a practicing physician, a leader in provider organizations, a researcher, and a health policy expert.  

The symposium also features a panel discussion focused on Addressing Health Equity Across oUR System, moderated by Chief Safety Officer Michael Leonard, MD, MS, and featuring panelists Nancy Bennett, MD; Heather Busick, MD, MS; Theresa Green, PhD, MBA; Brittan Hardgers, Myra L. Mathis, MD; Michael Mendoza, MD, MPH, MS; Telva Olivares, MD; Carolyn Stern, MD, and Edith Williams, MD. 

The final portion of the symposium will be the launch of the Quality Circle. In this inaugural session, Quality Institute Senior Director Irena Boyce, PhD, will be joined by Derek Wakeman, MD, and Kimberly Van Orden, MD, to present their department-specific Quality Improvement work.
