About this Event
The advisor-student relationship is often long-term, and can be a source of both support and stress. There are social dynamics and power differentials embedded in every interaction. This confidential workshop with University Counseling Center predoctoral interns will highlight interpersonal effectiveness skills which can help you (1) identify what you need from your advisor and (2) get your needs met without compromising your goals, the relationship, or your self-respect.
Workshop Facilitators:
Emma McBride, M.A., predoctoral intern
AJ Pollard, M.A., predoctoral intern
