Join us for an exciting art-meets-science talk by art conservator Fiona T. Beckett (the Garman Art Conservation Department, SUNY Buffalo State). Ms. Beckett, along with her colleagues and students, conducted a thorough technical examination of Rembrandt’s Portrait of a Young Man in an Armchair in MAG’s collection. She will share her insights into the previous conservation treatments on the painting and the current analysis. This program is offered in conjunction with the current exhibition Under the Microscope: Rembrandt’s Portrait of a Young Man in an Armchair.
