 n Centennial Quartet (OPCQ) will be touring internationally throughout 202
 5\, celebrating Oscar Peterson’s life and music in a unique live concert
  presentation featuring music from Peterson’s nearly seven-decade career
 \, multimedia presentations\, and conversation. The core band features acc
 laimed musicians from Peterson’s home of Canada\, JUNO Award winners ROB
 I BOTOS (piano)\, MIKE DOWNES (bass) and JIM DOXAS (drums). Additionally\,
  the OPCQ is proud to welcome world-renowned musician and ten-year veteran
  of the Oscar Peterson Quartet\, ULF WAKENIUS\, on guitar.\n\nSelect dates
  for the OPCQ will feature guest artists joining the program\, allowing au
 diences to hear Oscar Peterson’s compositions performed in the voices of
  different pianists\, as well as the opportunity to be introduced to some 
 names that may be new to them. An integral part of Peterson’s legacy is 
 the doors that he opened for those who followed in his footsteps in bringi
 ng musical excellence to the forefront of jazz performance. Each guest (va
 rying instrumentation) represents the impressive and unique talent within 
 our modern-day global jazz community.\n\nThe evening\, with music directio
 n led by Doxas\, will take audiences on a musical retrospective of Oscar P
 eterson’s career\, beautifully blending the styles and traditions that P
 eterson is known for\, with the individual styles of each person on stage.
  Lastly\, during the evening\, Peterson’s youngest daughter\, CÉLINE PE
 TERSON\, will join the band to offer the audience an intimate\, anecdote-f
 illed look into her father’s exceptional life and career. Ms. Peterson a
 nd the Oscar Peterson Quartet are proud to join forces in 2025 to celebrat
 e Oscar Peterson’s centennial and to introduce to the general public one
