Expand your nursing role with the School of Nursing's RN First Assistant program

The RN First Assistant program prepares CNORs (Certified Nurse-Operating Room) to take on an expanded role and empowers APRNs (Advanced Practice Registered Nurses) to follow their surgical patients throughout the perioperative experience.

Throughout a five-week intensive course of interactive online learning activities, a day of hands-on learning and simulation, and a 200-hour clinical internship, discover how to expand the impact of your nursing practice and improve patient care. Applications for Spring 2024 are due November 15.
