The ROC City Sicklers: A close-knit family-oriented, Advocacy Group for Children and Families living with Sickle Cell Disease. Our goal is to break down individual silo’s, spread awareness and build strong supportive relationships to those that may need support.
We are a grassroots community based group that was established in April 2013. Our group supports individuals living with Sickle Cell Disease and their families in a plethora of ways - from emotional to educational support. Our program has been an excellent way to raise awareness throughout our Rochester Community, having the privilege to encounter and develop new relationships with various people and organizations. These connections and new partnerships allow us the opportunity to get the word out to the community on an intimate level.
If you know someone living with Sickle Cell, or are interested in learning more about this chronic disease, please feel free to follow us on Facebook: ROC-City Sicklers or email at Sickle.email@example.com
Free parking and a light meal will be provided.
