What are your plans after graduation? Need a break before grad school? Want a meaningful jobs before diving into the corporate world? Rochester Youth Year is an AmeriCorps VISTA-sponsored, post-graduate program that engages and empowers local graduates to strengthen the capacity of community organizations in an effort to alleviate the effects of poverty for Rochester Youth and families. As AmeriCorps VISTAs, Rochester Youth Year members provide indirect, capacity building service to organizations to develop sustainable systems and resources to counteract poverty. Professional development, modest compensation, and educational awards are available.
