SALSITA: Piñatazo

Every year, the Spanish and Latino Students In Training for Awareness (SALSITA) organizes two events per semester in order to bring awareness of different aspects of the Latino Culture to the University of Rochester community. This year our event is dedicated to creating piñatas and learning cultural dances through workshops provided by the University of Rochester groups. SALSITA will help the attendees create their own personal piñatas using a mix of modge podge, color paper, and balloons. The creation of piñatas is a cultural activity practiced in many Latin American countries as a form of celebration.
