Kimberly Kelstone, DNP, CNM, a midwife and assistant professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at URMC will present on "Lost in Translation: Pregnancy Care and Outcome Disparities Among Language Discordant Patients in Western NY."
Kelstone received her midwifery and doctoral training from Stony Brook University and holds a BS in Nursing from the University of Rochester. She is a nationally certified sign language interpreter and also hold adjunct positions at Stony Brook and the Rochester Institute of Technology where she facilitates the education of future midwives and medical sign language interpreters.
A lunch of baked macaroni and cheese and tossed salad will be provided starting at 12 p.m., followed by the presentation from 12:10-12:40, leaving time for questions and discussion.
