Amy Braksmajer, Phd will present on "Intersections of Intimate Partner Violence, Relationship Power, and PrEP Use Among Men Who Have Sex with Men" during the next School of Nursing Grand Rounds.
Braksmajer, a post-doctoral associate at the School of Nursing, received her PhD in sociology from Stony Brook University shortly before joining SON as a research associate in 2014. Her research is in the area of gender and sexual health with an interest in innovative HIV risk-reduction interventions. Dr. Braksmajer is a member of the University of Rochester Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), the SON Interdisciplinary Sexual Health and HIV Research Group, and the Department of Psychiatry's Laboratory of Interpersonal Violence and Victimization.
A lunch of baked macaroni and cheese and Greek salad will be provided starting at 12 p.m., followed by the presentation from 12:10-12:40, leaving time for questions and discussion.
