Sick of success stories? So are we.
Come hear about colossal mistakes, failures, embarrassments and rejections from professors, students and even representatives from the City of Rochester at this special edition of Screw Up Nights!
For VOL. 6: Female Powerhouses, we will be hosting:
Mary Lupien - Rochester City Council Candidate, ROC City School Teacher, Mom, Activist
Dr. Jessica Guzman-Rea - Director of the Paul J. Burgett Intercultural Center
Julia Maddox - Superboss, supermom and supersinger!
There’s absolutely no judgment tonight! We’re creating a space where people can speak freely about their screw ups, embrace their failures and learn to move on to better ideas, projects and lives.
We are hoping to cultivate an environment where people can talk about their screw ups freely, and embrace and learn from their failures to move forward to better ideas, projects, and lives. Also, there is nothing that stops us from having fun thinking about and sharing the ways in which we screwed up.
This will be a fun event, where each speaker has 3 to 5 minutes to share their stories of failure! There is no pressure to “keep it professional”, although we do want everyone to be respectful.
The event meets the criteria for the Medallion Program: Level 1 (Intrapersonal Development)
If you are interested in becoming a speaker, please contact Deniz Cengiz (email@example.com) or Maggie Peng (firstname.lastname@example.org) for further information.
The event is cosponsored by Forté Campus at Rochester.
