Simon Life Sciences (SLS) is actively driving awareness on the healthcare and life sciences industry along with its career opportunities. Health disparities (preventable) arise due to complex interactions between socio-economic factors that hinder appropriate healthcareutilization as well as access to healthcare. With this case competition, we want to drive the importance of equity in healthcare and explore how telemedicine can break down barriers for patients to receive quality care. Key details on the competition are as follows--

Prize: $1000 to thw winning team and a call with industry experts

Topic: Use of Telemedicine for Health Equity Amongst Alzheimer's and Related Dementia Patients

Recommended Team Size: 3-5 students

Registration Deadine: Wednesday, February 1st 

Case Released: Wednesday, February 8th 

Final Presentations: Friday, February 17th

Its open to all UR undergraduates and graduate students. The teams can be comprised of a mix of students from different programs at the university if need be. To all who want to gain experience in solving a 'business problem' at the intersection of healthcare, I highly recommend participating in this case competition!
