Music has had a starring role in animated features and shorts for more than a century, bringing to life cartoon creatures and animated storylines on screens big and small. Two masters of the craft will share stories and secrets of the art of music for animation. Emmy®-winning composer Mark Watters has scored hundreds of animations for Disney and MGM and Bambi Moé brought close to 1,000 animated stories to the screen during her 20-year tenure steering movie music at Disney.
Mark Watters's animation credits include the score for It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie and several video releases, including Aladdin and the King of Thieves, Winnie-the-Pooh, My Little Pony, and Tom and Jerry. Watters was the music director for the acclaimed animated series Have A Laugh, the restoration and re-recording project of 60 classic Disney shorts from the 1930s and ’40s. His video-game music includes Coraline, Ben 10, Toy Story 3, Cars Mania, Disney Princesses, and Disney Fairies: Tinkerbell.
