About this Event
415 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY 14642
With the technologic and scientific improvements of prenatal care, the greater emphasis on child health and wellbeing, the increased ability to monitor and treat fetal medical issues in utero, professionals began to call attention to the potential for “maternal-fetal conflict”. Maternal-fetal conflict occurs when a pregnant person’s interests conflict with the interests of the baby (fetus). These issues present moral, legal, and ethical challenges for patients, clinicians, and society that warrant continued discussion and reflection.
