The Search for Isolated Planetary-Mass Objects in the Solar Neighborhood
Abstract: I will present the concept of isolated planetary-mass objects, which are similar to giant exoplanets, but not in orbit around a star. I will lay out our current understanding of these objects, and the possibilities of how they may have gotten there, then explain the methods that we use to search for them. I will end by presenting current results from the survey that I lead to discover these objects and study their atmospheres in detail.
