About this Event
740 Library Road, Rochester
https://rochester.joinhandshake.com/edu/events/1068665Writing and communicating your research ideas is a key component of being a graduate researcher. Determining how to communicate your research, and developing research talks can feel daunting. In this workshop we will talk through ways to prepare for a research talk and how to structure your research story. Attendees will discuss concrete steps in developing an action plan for developing a research talk, practice telling their story and consider how to do this while networking. This event will be preparation for any student planning on attending the Graduate Research Talks presented by the Arts, Science, and Engineering Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Affairs Office Oct. 19. The University is committed to providing inclusive experiences and equal access to programs and services. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation, contact David Cota-Buckhout at dcotabuc@ur.rochester.edu. A good faith effort (up until the time of the event) will be made to provide accommodations. To register, login to Handshake: https://rochester.joinhandshake.com/edu/events/1068665
