Most international students are unable to go back home and celebrate/visit with their families over the brief Thanksgiving break. We plan to host the ice skating event during the Thanksgiving break to encourage connections between domestic and international students who choose to stay in Rochester during the break and lessen the feeling of homesickness they may experience. It can also encourage all (including international) students to learn and explore winter activities, sports, sports clubs, etc around the university and be more engaged in university activities..
