The Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine hosts the 9th annual Lawrence Educational Symposium, in honor of the late Dr. Robert Lawrence, the first anesthesiology resident at University of Rochester Medicine, on Wednesday, May 20, from 4 to 8 p.m., in the Sarah Flaum Atrium and Class of ’62 Auditorium.

This annual symposium includes poster presentations featuring the breadth of scholarship, innovation, quality improvement, and educational work occurring across our department, while bringing together faculty, trainees, CRNAs, SRNAs, students, and collaborators for an evening of learning and community.

We are also honored to welcome distinguished alumnus Franklyn P. Cladis, MD, MBA, FAAP (Residency Class of ’02), Anesthesiologist-in-Chief at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, as this year’s visiting professor and keynote speaker. Dr. Cladis will present: “Navigating and Managing Conflict: Structure, Strategy, and Style.”

We will be serving light fare and beverages to enjoy while viewing the poster submissions.
