About this Event
240 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14604
Join fellow alumni, parents, and friends for a screening of 2017's Dolores, a historic documentary about Dolores Huerta, one of the most important, yet least known, activists in American history. Dolores co-founded the United Farm Workers Union with Cesar Chavez and has tirelessly led the fight for racial and labor justice, becoming one of the most defiant feminists of the twentieth century.
Dr. Jessica Guzman-Rea '10W (EdD), director of the Paul J. Burgett Intercultural Center, will introduce the film and share her perspectives on Dolores' impact on American history and culture.
Prior to the screening, join fellow attendees in The Little Theatre Cafe for hors d'oeuvres and drinks.
Admission is $10 per person and includes the reception, screening, and
a small popcorn and beverage to enjoy during the film.
We kindly ask that you register in advance, as space is limited.
