About this Event
“Equity-Oriented Implementation Studies: Reflections from a Learner”
Ana Baumann, Ph.D., will walk through some of her challenges and lessons that she is still learning as she aims to conduct and practice equity-oriented implementation research.
Dr. Baumann’s research agenda focuses on identifying strategies to facilitate the implementation and dissemination of evidence-based interventions in low-resource settings nationally and globally. She is a co-director of the Dissemination and Implementation Research Core (DIRC), a methods core at the Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS) that provides methodological expertise to advance translational research to inform and move efficacious health practices from clinical knowledge to routine care. Through DIRC, she has supported numerous investigators in receiving federally funded studies aiming to accelerate the use of evidence-based interventions or guidelines in different settings of care.
The UR CTSI EQ-DI Seminar series is hosted by the UR CTSI’s equity-focused dissemination and implementation (EQ-DI) function, which promotes and supports collaboration and team science, working with engaged stakeholders, community members and researchers from across the University of Rochester and the region, to accelerate translational science and improve population health.
