The stair challenge is a URMC hospital-wide event held during the first two weeks of May​ (5/3-5/16), in partnership with the Cornell Dietetic Interns.

During this time, participating staff members are encouraged to take the stairs instead of the elevators. All staff members are welcome to participate and will be competing against their colleagues in teams of 1-5 to climb the most stairs. At the end of the two weeks, prizes will be distributed to participating individuals and teams. The dietetic internship is a partnership between URMC and Cornell University, known for its excellence in research, teaching, and extension. We offer a Dietetic Internship with a research concentration, which provides in-depth, intensive community, clinical, management, and research experiences.
