Using Gender Pronouns to Foster Inclusion

In celebration of Pride month and the 50th anniversary of the University of Rochester’s Pride Network (formerly the Gay Liberation Front), you’re invited to attend this interactive workshop, featuring:

Col Raimond, LGBTQ Coordinator, Paul J. Burgett Intercultural Center

Lauren McKenna, Associate Director for Diversity and Inclusion Programs, Office of Alumni Relations and Constituent Engagement

Col and Lauren will discuss the importance of using gender pronouns in everyday life, explore tactics that can be affirming or harmful to one’s identity, and share simple ways to build safe spaces, especially for individuals who identify as queer, trans, or non-binary.

This presentation is designed to be approachable and provide you with the basic knowledge needed for better understanding and support. No previous knowledge required. Get ready to join the conversation!
