In the rapidly evolving landscape of social science research, generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is opening up a new era for qualitative data analysis. This Wednesday Talk will present the most recent developments and shifts in the use of generative AI for qualitative data analysis, along with the ongoing dialogues about its application within educational environments.  In this talk, Yu Jung Han and Md Mamunur Rashid will walk you through (1) the most recent updates on how representative qualitative data analysis softwares are incorporating generative AI capabilities, (2) the reactions from various fields with a specific emphasis on the field of education, and (3) their own experiences with these tools.
