 \n \n\nLate-life vision impairment presents significant challenges to ever
 yday functioning\, social interactions\, engaging in valued activities\, a
 nd self-care. Depression occurs in about 1/3 of adults who develop vision 
 impairment. Supportive Interventions for people with Vision Impairment exi
 st in English but are not available in Spanish. Latino older adults are th
 us underserved regarding vision care and vision research. In this presenta
 tion\, we will describe the psychological effects of late-life vision loss
 \, how our intervention can address the emotional effects of vision loss\,
  and the steps we are taking in adapting the intervention to Latino older 
 adults in our community.
