Vinyasa yoga is designed to progressively open the body, each sequence in a class builds upon the previous, evolving into deeper, more advanced postures as the practice unfolds. Yoga benefits you by helping to reduce stress while also improving mental health, flexibility, strength, and balance. Vinyasa yoga practice connects individual poses or “asanas” with deep breaths or “pranayama” in a series of flowing sequences of movement. Each class begins with deep breaths and self-love affirmations. Dr. Anika Simone Johnson, RYT200, Certified Yoga Teacher, Wellness Coach and Self-love Impact Motivator. Suggested equipment: bring your yoga mat, two yoga blocks, yoga strap, and bottle water. Wear comfortable clothing.
