https://www.warner.rochester.edu/newsevents/story/2247Discussions of academic work typically center on the academic tripartite of research, teaching, and service. In this lunch talk, however, through engaged discussion with each other and our audience, we aim to recognize and shift our gaze to some of the unmentioned, yet deeply pivotal, components of engaging in academic work. We will discuss and invite the audience to engage with notions of mentorship, vulnerability, and self care as necessary components to the vitality and sustainability of academic engagement.
The discussion will be led by Jayne Lammers, Associate Professor in Teaching & Curriculum and Associate Director of the Center for Learning in the Digital Age (LiDA); and Bryan Gopaul, Assistant Professor in Educational Leadership.
A light lunch will be served. Food will be available at 11:45 am. The program starts promptly at noon.
