About this Event
Are you interested in making maps?
WAM!
Have you always wanted to learn how to use ArcGIS Pro 2.6?
WAM!
Weekly Adventures in Mapping! is here to take you through the popular mapping text Getting to Know ArcGIS, chapter by chapter. Join GIS specialist Blair Tinker every Thursday from 2pm to 3pm starting March 11 for WAM! All students, faculty, and staff are welcome!
This interactive book club will give you the knowledge you need to navigate the world of data in geospatial contexts. You'll be in map-shape in no time. WAM!
For these adventures you will need the latest version of ArcGIS Pro, which you can install on your own computer (we'll show you how) or access via desktop.rochester.edu (we can show you this as well). Copies of the book are available in limited supply.
Here's the book club schedule (Chapters 6 and 8 were purposely skipped, but may be added later as a bonus!):
March 11: Kick off (access to software and licensing) and ArcGIS online introduction
March 18: Chapter 2--A first look at ArcGIS Pro
March 25: Chapter 3--Exploring geospatial relationships
