Wellness Series on Flourishing at Work: Cultivating an Undivided Life in Medicine

Session 5: Working in Teams: Mindful Collaboration
This multi-session series seeks to enhance a sense of flourishing while mitigating the effects of burnout in our professional lives. We will explore clinical experiences through the lens of attention, awareness and reflection. Methods will include contemplative practices, interactive discussions, and dyadic sharing of medical narratives. The objectives are to help participants recognize the depth of our engagement with work, the potential to discover its meaning, and the capacity to build on our personal and collective strengths.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Understand the variety of teams that exist within the health
care institutions
2. Explore teamwork enhancing behaviors and processes
3. Examine the causes and impact of ineffective or harmful team behaviors and processes
4. Develop ways to promote healthy teamfulness
