About this Event
755 Library Road, Rochester, NY 14626
http://pro.digitalscholar.rochester.edu/Are you a student who is interested in the world of research? Would you like to have a better grasp on how it’s done or what’s possible? If you’re starting to explore the research opportunities at Rochester, this workshop is for you!
This is a masterclass in which University librarians will show you how to use specific databases and less formal venues to discover research published by Rochester’s faculty members. You will see the different formats faculty scholarship takes, how to conduct discipline-specific searches, and how social networks have a place in academia.
By the end of this workshop, you’ll have gained knowledge and skills that will not only help you identify where your interests align with the work of current faculty members, but it will also help you begin or continue building your academic network.
This workshop is offered through Pathways to Research Opportunities (PRO) in conjunction with the Office of Undergraduate Research, the Greene Center for Career Education & Connections, and others.
