Learn how to read academic texts efficiently through skimming, scanning, and asking questions. Develop ways to deconstruct academic texts by identifying arguments, evaluating evidence, and pinpointing the author’s position. NOTE: This is NOT a speed-reading course, but rather the first step to unpacking academic writing.
Workshops will also be accessible via Zoom. To join any workshop remotely, please follow this link rochester.zoom.us/my/warnerwritingsupport.
Workshops are free and open to all members of the university. Preregistration is not required. For information on free, one-on-one writing consulting, go to: www.warner.rochester.edu/students/academics/writing/.
